Hi there,

my buddy just got this truck not too long ago and it started to overheat and shut off. He took it to a mechanic and they told him it needs a coil. Im not sure what coil or any coil that would make the truck shut off. I've looked up cooling and heating parts from every parts store around me and I cant find anything that is a coil. I was wondering if it is the thermostat or something else that was causing it to overheat.

thanks for your time

If its overheating and turning off it isnt the tstat.

I would think the coil or spark plugs or spark plug wires are bad.

The coil is the ignition coil. Also could be the ignition control module.

CHECK the spark systems
