Engine Mechanical problem
1983 Ford F150 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 300 straight six motor that we just replaced the head gasket on. When running it builds up a lot of pressure in the oil pan and valve cover shooting oil out. The pressure was so bad the other day that it was pusing the dipstick out and shooting oil out. It looks like it has anit-freeze and water in it also. We had the head checked and it was not warped at the time. Could I have a cracked head or block and how would you tell at this point or is there another problem that I am not thinking of. Also each time we run it it loosed anti-freeze and I can't see it leaking anywhere.

What to do is do a compression check on the engine. Check each cylinder to see if there is a loose of pressure. The pressure should not vary more than 20 pounds. Then have a cooling system pressurized to see if there it is losing pressure into the crankcase. There could be other problems with the engine. One question did the engine ever severly overheat. If so check for any other damage in the engine.
