Say you got fire at plugs? Shoot some gas/starter fluid in carb, does it try to start now?

I was getting fire but not enough, I had to replace the ignition coil. And when you fix one thing another goes wrong. It now is idoling fine and all but once you get driving it has no power and starts to jerk and backfire really bad what may this be caused by?

I kind of feel stupid now it was the firing order I never thought to check that, the 1st and the 5th were reversed. Now the truck is running fine just a couple seals to replace and I'm good to go.

OK, just never get a break, lol. Another problem the motor is knocking now, but only while its in gear if it's in park or nuetral there is no knocking. I figured it was an easy fix just a rocker arm loose or something. So I take the tapit cover off both sides, not one loose shaking or anything they are all snugg and functioning properly oil flowing over them and everything. So I cheked the oil the oil is full and clean so I'm stumped. What else could be causing the knocking?

Take a 3-4 ft. Long peice of 5/16 fuel line(preferred for comfort fit).1/4, garden hose, whatever is on hand. Shove 1 end into your EAR BE CAREFUL W/MOVING PARTS. Probe entire engine(like stethoscope)

I guess it's more of a loud tapping but it is the loudest from uder the truck near the oil pan, so to the front bottom of the motor but it does have a slight leak around the bell housing

The sound is constant keeping the same time, when the RPM's or speed go up the tapping gets faster that is why I figured it was a rocker arm or something. I was thinking after that it may be the Harmonic balancer or something but there is no shaking in any of the pullies that I noticed.
