How hard is it for me to replace struts myself?

It is a pretty simple thing to do if you are buying replacmeent struts and are just putting the new ones on, it may be a bit harder if you have to tear down the struts and replace the parts yourself.

Thanks for the response!
I got er done, the hardest part was the coil spring change over.
I had to use two sets of spring compressors and a large bench vise.
I was quoted $525 for two struts installed.
I bought the struts for $140 and it took about 3-1/2 hours.

Its definetely worth the time to do it yourself. Plus now you got good knowledge! Be easier if you just bought the new struts. Maybe a little more expensive but not much at all!

I wasn't able to find new struts with the coil spring attached, but if you can find them as a complete package it would definetly be worth the extra cost.

Yes, the dealer might sell them but then theres the markup price. For future refrence you can take in the parts to a dealership or independent mechanic and see if they will put the coils on the struts for you.
