It is in the air intake snorkel and held in by a couple of large clamps.

Thank you. Can this mass air flow sensor be replaced with half a brain on mechical backround, or does it ahve to be replaced at a Ford dealership. Saying that the ford dealer wants $400.00 to replace it.

Very simple, but it may only need cleaning. Or it may not be the problem.

Ford saying its bad had it there today was geting a long cranking and took to long to start but did start service soon light coming on changed air cleaner was very dirty and changed plugs service light sill comes on runing litte rough in gear at a stop light so had it to ford and they are saying need mass flow sensor and at 400 dollars thats a lot

Before you replace it, thry cleaning it. Remove it and spray the inside with electrical cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and q-tips. Gently clean the coiled wires. IF it doesn't work, then when you do replace it, buy a quality one, don't go for best price.
