How do you change out the automatic window motor for a rear passenger side window? The window is stuck in the down position. You can hear the motor running when pressing both the raise and lower button but the windown doesn't move. I tried to manually raise the window but with no luck. I have remove the door panel and do have access to the window area. Small as it is.

I do not know if you have the same problem that I did, but when this happened to my Explorer, I had a company that changes out windshields come and look at the problem. They ordered a new mechanism that holds the window in place which had plastic gears on it. These gears are what the motor drives to move the window up and down. The service tech told me that the mechanism was poorly made and he had changed several of them. He changed mine and the window now works perfectly and the price was very reasonable compared to the dealership.
