my battery light came on. I went to mechanic, changed my altenator. car worked fine for 4 weeks. then it stopped. went to mechanic, they said it was a defected alternator, changed it again, everything worked fine for 4 weeks. then again te battery light came on. the charge is low and I think it is about to die again (have a brand new batter)

they now tell me that the alternator is OK.

what else can it be that the battery is not charging?
what should I do?
