My speedometer on my 98 Explorer will work for a few miles then stop. When car sits a while it will work again. I saw a post you answered earlier and that post was just like my problem. I followed what it said to do and got same result. I turned key on and held Cruise OFF button, I got one flash. Then I pushed Cruise ON button, I got one flash. But nothing else with the sequence you stated. I checked the fuse to the right of the steering wheel, #10 7.5 amp. And it was good? Is that the right fuse to check, at that point I am lost as to what to do next. Does that tell me what I need to replace?
thanks for your help

Continue reading as now you should unplug the cruise servo and connect your multil meter between term 3 and ground and drive it to 30 mph and see if there is a volt reading set your meter to AC volts. If no reading then VSS is no good if you do have a reading then the Cruise servo is bad.
