When the engine is hot (normal temp) a howling sound comes from the resevoir this only happens when the car is up tp temp

Normally a noise coming from the reservoir indicates excessive pressure from water temperature. I would suggest you use a temperature thermometer to check the actual temperature of the water in the reservoir. Please keep in mind safety at all time.
