Whether the vehicle is running or not there is a high pitched but low volume hum coming from the rear driver side tire well. It's been going on for little over a week and this morning the battery was dead after sitting idle for the weekend.

THe noise sounds like a pressure leak from the fuel system. The battery may be a coincidence. Or, the fuel pump may stay running. What I need you to try is 2 things. When you hear the noise, remove the fuel cap to see if the noise stops. If it doesn't, check to see if the sound is coming from the tank.

Also, I need you to check for a draw on the battery. I will list below the directions. What to do is if there is a draw, remove one fuse at a time until the draw stops so we can identify what circuit is causing the draw. Let me know what you find.

We figured out that the fuel pump is still running after the engine is stopped and it draining the battery. For now we've worked around it by pulling the fuse for the fuel assembly out whenever we stop the truck, but I've talked to a couple mechanics I know and none of them could figure out why or how the fuel pump could continue running after the car was turned off.
