I just got a brand new transmission put into my explorer and I notice some rattling noises and it was coming from the heat sheild on the catalyac converter. Well I tooking the bottom half of the shield off. I was wondering if it will ruin my transmission leaving it off. I notice today when I was heading to work the transmission kicked out of gear but it didnt do it anymore today. I am just trying to find a solution for this heat shield problem

The heat shield should be in place. It can cause a few different problems. If you still have the part you removed, replace it and use a couple hose clamps to hold it in place. If you make them good and tight, it won't make any noise.
