Brakes

Ford Excursion 2004 V8 $47,000. In driving my truck today, my brakes all of a sudden went right to the floor. They worked but there was no resistance. Once I pumped them, they came back. In driving it more later on in the day, it happened again. I stopped at the local garage and had them check the brake fluid and it was fine. Any thoughts?

It's most likely the master brake cylinder. Look around the mounting flange area for signs of brake fluid. It could also have bad piston seals in which case you won't see any leaking.

Try bleeding the brakes.
