My friend has a 1991 ford escort Lx station wagon with about 80,000 miles. It is a four cylender I think
2.0 engine and it a automatic. The botton on the gear shift won't push in even with your foot on the brake. It fine on tranmission fluid and the transmission
worked fine until he came home one night and the next day he cound not get the car out of park. I think maybe its some crazy sensorce on the brake but
no one I talked to has ever seen anything like in there life! Please help!

I'm having the same problem. I have figured out how to get it unstuck, but I need it fixed right. I can turn on my headlights and then my left blinker and the button will become unstuck and I can then put the car in gear. Doesn't make much sense to me, so any info would be appreciated.

Hi! Both are working, but the right one is dimmer than the left. Could this be the problem?
