I have a 99 ford escort se with a 2.0 sohc i4 engine and my question is when I start my vehicle it idles fine. Well when you start driving it will start acting like it is not taking the fuel and bogging down. I was wondering if you had any thoughts? Thanks

I asked the same thing about my car. When it acts like it is going to bog out does the check engine light appear?

One of the other guys on the site said he had the same problem and he changed his fuel filter, fuel pump, and among others. But he said the only thing that he didnt get to try before his engine broke down was his fuel injectors. But I would take it to a shop that can dignosis it and see if they can get the codes if the check engine light does come on and hopefully tell you what the problem is.

If I ever get mine fixed I will definetly inform you because I know what a pain it is when no one can tell you the problem. My car has been doing it for several months making it where I can only drive little distances before my car just stalls and wont start back up for a while.
