I just had the clutch changed out and the next day the low oil pressure light came on. I checked the oil level and topped it off - it was down about 1/3 of a quart. The light is still on. The majority of the miles are highway and I do not burn oil. Could the repair to the clutch cause this light to come on? Is it safe to drive the 23 miles back to the repair shop on Monday?

With that mileage

I don't think it'll be wise to go the next 23 miles-you need to find out what's causing the oil light to come on the engine might seized due to oil pressure problem

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings
