My 2001 Ford Escort the tempature gauge is going into the red zone. I replaced the water pump and belts and everything is okay, and thermostat works great. Where do I go from here? I don't see any coolant leakage.

Does the radiator cooling fan work/come on? Does car have air conditioning that you use? Could also be the radiator itself? Fins could be dirty or its internally clogged.

The radiator fan works and does click on when it needs to. Air conditioner works great. Just had the radiator flushed and thats okay too. Tried cleaning the grille yesterday and nothing really came off. This morning I found a little puddle of coolant so I need to look under the car to see where its coming from. I just had the water pump replaced so maybe a leek from that. :(
