1999 Ford Escort Acceleration

My Ford Escort ZX2 makes jolts when I accelerate after I have been stopped at a light or a stop sign. It only does it once in awhile and not every time. But when it does it, its almost like I press the accelerator and then the car wants to go and it jolts and then finally goes and my RPM's get really high. I just had new tires, new brakes, and a tune up done. I am not sure what the problem is at all.

Check tranny fluid add if needed
replace if NOT red and clean
