ADJUSTMENTS
SELF-ADJUSTING CLUTCH
Clutch pedal is automatically adjusted and requires no adjustment.
CLUTCH PEDAL HEIGHT
1. Measure distance from instrument panel to upper center of pedal pad. Distance should be 7.72-8.03" (196-204 mm). If distance is not as specified, disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch connector. 2. Loosen CPP switch lock nut and turn CPP switch until correct height is reached. Tighten CPP switch lock nut to 10-13 ft. Lbs. (14-18 N.M). Measure pedal free play and adjust if necessary.
CLUTCH PEDAL FREE PLAY
1. Depress clutch pedal by hand until resistance is felt. Measure distance between upper clutch height and where resistance is felt. Free play should be.20-.51" (5-13 mm). If free play is not as specified, loosen equalizer bar-to-clutch release lever rod lock nut. Turn equalizer bar-to-clutch release lever rod until specified free play is achieved. 2. Ensure disengagement height is correct when clutch pedal is fully depressed. Minimum disengagement height is 1.5" (41 mm). Tighten equalizer bar-to-clutch release lever rod lock nut to 9-12 ft. Lbs. (12-16 N.M).
