I am having troble keeping my vehicle running after I start it. It will stay running if I keep my foot on the gas. When I take my foot off the gas, the vehicle stops.
I have been told to look at the PCM? Is this a viable solution or are there other avenues to persue

4 or 6 cyl?

You need to find out what is lacking. So I would not go after the pcm yet. This may be a timing, fuel and or spark dropping out.

Are there any codes in the pcm?

Have somone else start it, and you can shoot small bursts of carb cleaner into the throttlebody to see if fuel is dropping out, IF you can artificallly make it run, then you'll need to check fuel pressure. I assume you have cahnged the fuel filter at least one if not twice by now?
