Engine Cooling problem
1994 Ford E-Series Van V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i bought a new timing cover and there is a space at the bottom where the flange does not meet. In other words there is a smooth flange, where the water pump would seal, that it seems will allow water to leak out because it only goes around 350 degrees. Why is there a gap in the area where the water pump will mount to?

Ok before I can answer you question correctly I need to know what engine you have. It say's V-8 but which V-8. Once I have this I can look at the timing cover to see what you refering to. If can include a pic that would help too. Thanks and get back to me.
