Engine Performance problem
1986 Ford E-Series Van Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have an E250 5.8L 8 cyl 351 Cleveland with a Holley 4 barrell Carb.I can get it to idle well but once I put it in gear I have problems. No acceleration. It wont get out of its own way. I can eventually get up to speed but it almost seems to either not be getting enough gas or to much? While in park or nuetral I can rev her up fine. There is some initial hesitation but sounds fine. Help!

Ok I need to know what engine you have and what ignition system you have running. The last year of the cleveland was in 76 and they were never put in a van or truck. If it is a 351 or 5.8 ltr windsor then that makes sense. Get back to me and we will go from there.

I need to know which one is in it is it the small block windsor 351w or did some one put in a 351c? Can you send me a pic of the engine if you are not sure and I will tell you so I can be of help. See it changes which ingintion system might be in it.
