1998 Ford Crown Victoria V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

we have a 1998 ford crown vic police car, we were driving the car and it kept stalling out and then it dies and wont start back up. The engine just spins over. The car does start with starting fluid sprayed in the air breather. Is it possible this could just be a fuse problem. I dont know what is wrong with it. Please answer.

If the car starts on starter fluid, it is definately a fuel relalated problem. May be a blown fuse, bad relay, bad wiring or a fuel pumo that is on its way out.

Most likely culprit is the fuel pump cut off switch in the trunk on left side. It is desgined to trip out if car is hit in collision, but sometimes it works loose. Reset it and try to start it. If the switch seems loose cross the terminals and try to start it. If car starts replace the switch.
