The switch feels fine when you start the vehicle but when you go to shut it off there seems to be no resistance.

Hi. You said you changed the ignition cylinder and the ignition electronic switch under the steering coloumn. There is a rod that goes inside that switch. This switch is adjustable.

The bolts that hold it to the coloumn, also serv as adjustment for this switch. Here is a way to see if this is the prob. Remove the switch from the coloumn, but leave it plugged into the elec connection. Take a screwdriver and start the car useing only this switch, and then move the position of the switch to shut the eng off. If this works the prob is the adjustment or the tumbler in the lock cyl.

But the tumbler prob would make it very difficult toremove the key.

Well try this and if I can help write back. Billymac
