TO KEN AND BOB MY GO TO TECHS! THIS IS THE SCENARIO, I GET ON THE FREEWAY, AND MAYBE 2 OR 3 MILES MY ENGINE DIES, SO I FIGURED I RAN OUT OF GAS SINCE MY GAGE DONT WORK. OK SO I PUT GAS, I TRY STARTING IT AND NOTHING, SO I PUT GAS ON THE CARB AND USUALLY WITH THAT IT WILL START, BUT NO START, I CHECKED DA SPARK ON THE COIL AND NO SPARK. I DO A PRIMARY AND SECONDARY CHECK ON THE COIL AND ITS FIND! I CHECKED THE IGNITION MODULE BOX AND IT SEEMS TO BE PUTTING OUT POWER. CHECKED OUT ALL FUSES BUT NOTHING, CHECKED ALARM CONNECTIONS ALL IS FINE. CHECKED DISTRIBUTER ROTOR IS FINE. PLUGS AND WIRES FINE. SO I FIGURED THE TIMMING CHAIN JUMPED. BUT HAVENT DONE COMPRESSION CHECK. SO MY QUESTION IS WHAT ELSE BESIDES THE TIMMING CHAIN COULD BE CAUSING THIS NIGHTMARE?

A jumped timing chain will not cause no spark
bad module and or coil will
unplug the coil and check for power at the connector
you should have battery power at one of the wires
and if so check the other wire if it pulse ground while cranking
u can do so by placing the test light clips at a battery + power source and check for ground pulsing while cranking
if u have that then the coil is bad and you need a new one
if not then its possible bad module and or pick up
