I replaced the distributor cap and button, plug wires, spark plugs and coil. Now If the engine turns over at all, it runs very rough and back fires. Is it possible that I have the firing order wrong?

How was it running before the work,
why was the work done?

what size motor?

CRanking means engine is turning over when you turn the key.
is it ever not cranking?
