Engine wont start

It feels like is about to start but it doesnt even when I pump the gas, i've tried disconecting the battery then re connect it but no luck. Everything else works fine and sounds good so not sure what it could be. Can some1 help plz.

On fuel injected engines, pumping the gas is just opening & closing the throttle plate (air flow). Have you checked for stored fault codes in the ECM Memory?

You need to determine if you are missing spark or fuel. If it sounds like it wants to start, then you probably have spark.

Check fuel pressure next. If pressure is OK, valve / piston timing could be out (timing belt jumped).

First thing I would do is get the computer (OB2) scanned. This will make it easier to help in the diagnosis. Most auto part stores will do this for free. When you get the codes, write them down and let me know what they are. There are many problems that could create this symptom and without speculating for hours let's try this out first and I'll be happy to help you out in finding the problem.
