Engine will not start

I was driving the car it started to sputter then shut off. It will not start now just turns over.

That is not much to go on. Given the history of how GM fuel pumps usually fail, start by listening for the hum of the pump for one second when you turn on the ignition switch. If you do not hear that, check the pressure in the fuel rail under the hood. If it is low or 0 psi, suspect the fuel pump.
