I am just needing possible problems of why my engine will not idle down. I made adjustments to idle screws at throttle body. Cleaned both idle valves. Car runs really well. No hesitation or stumble, but it just will not idle down. Do you think that the throttle plate inside is bent or something is preventing it from closing all the way? And no cable is not too tight? Heck it may be something entirely different. Also, no codes.

This is most commonly caused by a vacuum leak. Pinch off various vacuum hoses to see if that affects idle speed. Listen near the intake manifold gasket, or spray water or carburetor cleaner on the gaskets. A PCV valve stuck open will cause this too.
