Engine warning light keeps turning on

Hi, my engine light for my car keeps coming on. It has been taken to a VW garage 3 times costing me over £3000 to fix. They have stripped it and changed what they thought was three different times, but it still is coming on. It never stays on; it comes on maybe for a day then nothing for days or more usually weeks. It originally was on long car journeys but seems to be now more on little quick journeys here or there. I am wondering if this is common for these cars as I am trying to decide whether to sell it as I am at a loss.

Hello,

In order for us to assist you we would require the fault code/s which the engine management sets which brings on the engine light.

I would suggest taking it to a workshop or even the AA/RAC for them to read out the fault codes and then please post them here for further diagnosis.
