THE CAR RUNS GREAT THE COMPUTER CODE IS PO717 TURBINE/INPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR "a" CIRCUIT NO SIGNAL.

I was told this sensor is located above the trans and the lights are all lighting because it needs to be changed, is this true? The runs like new trans feels great. I just dont want to sink money into it if this sensor is not the whole issue. Mechanic says once the sensor is replaced the all the warning lights will go away.

I just bought it $3000.00 I dont mind putting some money into it I knew buying a car used I would have to.

No all the lights will not go away it needs to be diagnosed properly with a scanner there may be an abs issue as well and the a/c is another issure all together. It needs to be checked to see if the in order to replace just the sensor that is sending the code requires that the transmission be removed and torn down

You can have a mechanic test it but if it's replaced the trans has to come out and apart. What happens is it detects low speed while engine speed Is high and sets line pressure to default eventually it will burn the trans up because it won't be getting enough line pressure.
