My truck is idling at too high an RPM (2,500-3,000) Cann't find anything wrong with gass pettel or cable under hood. Any idea how I could adjust it?

FIrst, have you checked for vacuum leaks? Have you checked the idle air control solenoid? Also, check down in the bore of the throttle body and make sure there is no carbon build up on the sides of the throttle plate or in the bore which could cause it throttle place to stick.

As far as the idle, it is controlled by the PCM. It isn't something that is adjustable.
