Engine cranks but no start

Experience start problems when cars cold, after a small drive, car starts without fail. If it is crank sensor or fuel pump, would the car not drive properly, because it drives smoothly. What else could problem be?

It sounds like the coolant temperature sensor is bad, can you scan for codes? Here is a guide that will help you.
