Electronic door lock issue

Hello. I have a four door cobalt. The passenger side lock and unlock is fine but the driver side will unlock all the doors but won't lock any. I have tried to lock with the door closed, partially open and fully open without any success. It will lock at those positions. Any ideas on where I should start? This started happening about 2 months ago.

It sounds like the drivers side switch is bad.

Thanks for the reply. Do I have to take the door panel off or is there another way?

Sometimes its just the panel the switch is on, other times you must remove the panel, here is a guide to help you
