Exterior door handle replacement

The exterior door handle of my car just broke off when I tried to open the door. I was wondering how hard it would be to replace to door handle myself. Or if I should just save my time and take it to a mechanic. I know how to do some things on the car already. I have had the door panels off before to replace the speakers
