Hello friends,

I bought the vehicle listed above from Carolina USA. I live in EU country and I have to do some modification. I would like to know the wiring diagram for front and back lamps. I have to change front park bulbs color, change rear turn signal color and add rear fog lamp for EU regulations. And if it is possible I would like to know where is paced the wiring in trunk which goes to rear door/hatch.

Can you provide the last eight of the VIN for this one? There are many options of lighting for this vehicle and they are different enough that it will make a difference.

I would normally just provide all of them but this would be a lot of different diagrams and I fear that would be too confusing.

With the last 8 I can look this vehicle up and get the wiring as it is equipped.

Good thing is these vehicles are equipped the same with halogen lamp system for headlights and LED taillights.

I am attaching the overall wiring diagrams below and then a couple close ups of the front and rear assemblies.

Thank you for your pictures. This is fine. But I noticed that there is red marked wire, white/orange color, Rear Fog Light Feed. What is it? Is this wire placed directly from BCM to rear lamp? Where is this rear fog lamp or where is this wire placed, where could be this lamp?

Yes. I don't know why they call those rear fog lamps. They are the rear lamps that are in the bumper.

Take a look at the attachments below. I don't see them in the sales codes, so your vans may not have them.

I found that this lamp is Part Number 68233087AA - as my attachment. It is for export cars. But is it possible to check (by VIN) if my car has these wires and connectors which you marked red circle?

That wiring diagram is per your VIN. I suspect that fog lamp is standard on export vehicles, but it is an option here in the USA. Not only is the wiring diagram not marked as export (which we do when an option is only available on export vehicles) but I searched the part number in the USA system and it is available for order and in fact, there are a couple dealers here that have it in stock.

So, if you do not have the lens in the bumper (which I don't show rear fog lamps on the sales codes) then I suspect you have just a connector behind the bumper that is capped off. Normally we don't make multiple different wiring harnesses for each of these options. It is just one harness and either the connector gets used or taped up into the harness if it is not used.

So, I would look on this harness and I suspect you will find the connector back there.

If you are going to add them, then you will have to find the sales code for these lights and have that added to the VIN or the body controller will not know they are there and they will not work. Basically, the vehicle needs to know if is equipped with these rear lights in order to work.

I am attaching the sales code and I see under standard equipment the LBRS which are front and rear LED lamps. This may be what we call them in the USA, but I doubt it.

Lens - Do you mean part number 68230395AA - reflector? Yes, I have reflector, I do not have rear fog lamp. It is okay if I have this additional socket inside rear bumper. I will check it soon and I will give you feedback.
I think that LBRS it is the light inside car, under roof. It is LED light for driver, passenger in front and rear passengers. I marked blue line this description together with other inside light.

Okay. Got it. Yes, you have the lens, but you may have to replace that in order to get the socket as I doubt that is in the back of that. It is fine to add this but again you are going to have to get the sales code added. The only way to know for sure is to find a vehicle that has the rear fog lamps and see what sales codes they have and then add those. Then perform a reconfiguration to the BCM so that it can operate the lamps.

I have a theory picture. But I have to make connections. It takes me so long time. I have to jump power from the front left and right turn lights to rear left and right turn lights. I have to connect to +wire between turn bulb and BCM. Could you please add pictures where is placed wires harness between BCM and left front lamp, right front lamp, left rear lamps and right rear lamps and stop rear lamp?

I understand. However, the good thing about wiring and circuits is that you don't have to connect to a specific place on that circuit.

You just need to find the easiest place and splice into the wire at that location. So as long as you are on the circuit that you need, just pick the location that is most convenient.

I am attaching the location of the left and right harness and how it runs through the vehicle that will help you pick the location you want to pick.

Take a look at the wiring diagrams above to identify the circuit and then trace the wire to the best place.

Thank you for your reply. Your wiring diagrams are okay, but could you please zoom/focus front and rear places? And diagrams for front lamps?
You are right, it is not important where I will jump power. It is important to connect to the easy place. And I am looking for this place. Could you please make a suggestion?
I'm going to replace front Turn bulb with 1/2 power LED bulb and connect parallel with additional rear dual color led bulb in reverse bulb/lamp. And terminate left and right stop/turn wire with power resistor 10Ohm/50W. It will be okay for BCM. Left and right stop bulb I will replace with green LED bulb, and I will connect to the central rear stop light.
After modification I will give my feedback of course. :-)

Are these the larger views that you are looking for or did you want wiring diagrams?

I included the wiring diagram for the headlights that are equipped on this vehicle as well.

If it were me, I would tap into the wiring right behind each lamp assembly because this way you don't have to cut the harness apart looking for the wire that you need. Then I would just run the wire and tape or zip tie it to the harness.

As you suggested I added an additional wire near each lamp. And all was working but the rear turn light was red. Yellow light bulb for red lamp's glass gave red color light. I was driving for a few days, and I bought green LED bulbs. Green light for red lamp's glass gave amber color. And it is okay. But after a few seconds the Turn Signal front and rear was broken. I connected rear Turn light to front light as parallel. I forgot to replace the front turn bulb with 1/2 power LED bulb. The first yellow LED bulb was ab. 4W and it was okay. But I think now that the second green led bulb is more than 5W and it is too much for power consumption for front turn bulb driver (it was 21W + 6W or more power). I was looking for Turn fuse, but I didn't find it. Is there a fuse for turn light? What is burn (protection circuit or fuse) while there is too much power consumption for turn light?

There is no fuse for just the turn signal. The only fuses for this are for just the BCM itself but that is for the entire operation of the BCM.

So, this means we need to check if there is power coming from the BCM when the lights are turned on. If not, then the BCM is most likely the issue.

What I fear happened is the driver on the circuit board has failed, which happens at times when you swap out different LED bulbs.

If this is the case, then you will need to replace the BCM or try to bypass it. The way you do this is to take the power from the turn signal input to the BCM and just run a wire directly to the circuit coming from the BCM.

Basically, all the BCM is on these circuits is a connection point so you can bypass it if you want to.

However, if it were me, I would replace the BCM and make sure you have the correct bulbs for this system. Plus, I would put your own fuses in between the BCM and bulb just to protect the BCM so this doesn't happen again.

Your idea about an additional fuse for Turn light is very good.
There are two solutions:
1. Replace the BCM (what is the part number, and I can only replace this unit, or I have to program it by scan tool after replacing?)
2. Bypass both left and right Turn Signal in BCM. Which input wire/pin/connector is it? Which output is it (left input and output and right input and output)?

That is correct. At the BCM it is pin 14 of the C4/D connector which is the second picture attached below. Then Pin 13 of the C1/A connector is the third attached.

PIN 14 and 13 are output signals for left and right Turn light. But where can I find input signals? I hope that BCM is working like a relay, or amplifier. Low power, low voltage is input signal and hi power 12V signal is supply. Is it true? Or BCM is an item which is working like Digital decoder. Can-bus is an input signal for BCM and BCM decode it to hi power output. Then I can't find low power Turn Signal.

I understand. Yes. The BCM monitors the multifunction switch position via the bus network.

So, it looks like it is not a hard-wired input from the switch to the BCM. The turn signal switch is part of the wiper and clock spring that is called the steering column control module.

This is why you are not finding this. So, while I did not think of this before, that may mean the BCM must be replaced. Do you have a scan tool that can monitor the BCM inputs? Basically, just confirm that it is getting the signal from the SCCM to flash the turn signals but just not sending the driver?
