I was given the car listed above for my son's first car. Wouldn't run properly and had a vacuum leak.
Jumped the car and drove it to AutoZone to replace the battery and alternator per previous owner's indication. The battery tested bad and so did the alternator.
In the process of changing the alternator my son accidentally hooked the battery up and it blew the alternator 120a fuse.
Replaced the fuse. Replaced the alternator. Replaced the battery.
The car fired up and ran just fine until my son tried to roll down the window.
All dash lights went out, but the car kept running.
Once the car is shut off, it will ding but not start. No dash lights, no ecu energized according to code reader that required ecu power to read codes.
No clicking, no lights, no starting.
Power from battery to alternator is good. Power to starter is good. Power to fuse box is good. Power to negative on transmission and battery pan. Power to starter relay upon key to start position.
Sometimes doing that lock/unlock reset will get things working but it only runs a couple of minutes at most before dash goes out and it won't restart after shutting down.
I took the dash apart to check ignition wires, it has many wires in the plug to the ignition housing. Two wires have constant power in a line. When key turns it energizes a third in line. The other wires in the plug do not receive power in any key position.

It sounds like we are losing main power, can you make sure the battery cables are clean and tight? Also check the condition of the positive cable, it might be corroded internally. Is the car still have no lights on the dash, windows etc.? If so, let's use a test light to see if there is power where the positive cable connects to the main power lug on the rear of the alternator, if not the cable or connection is bad. Also check the negative cable connection to the block of the engine. Here is a guide to help you fix the battery cables:
