Mazda Bongo Friendee SGL5 / 4WD/AT
Most cold starts the following happens:
• Fans running
• No glow plug light
• No aircon
• Limp mode

Occasionally it will start normally but will overheat.

We suspect the TCM is faulty as per https://www.2carpros.com/questions/possible-ecu however since it does work sometimes, could it be the wiring instead?

Getting a replacement part shipped to Australia is expensive, especially if it is not the root cause.

Thanks.

Did all of these problems start at once? Also have you run the codes to see what comes up. I would do a CAN scan which can tell you which module is out or if there is a wiring connection problem. The scan is easy to do.

You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

and

This way we can confirm the problem before you need to ship any parts.
