Can the ECU recorder all the malfunctions occurred in the crush that was five years ago?

Thanks

Sorry, but any data was gone the first time that the battery was disconnected, or when someone used a scanner to clear out trouble codes. Besides, it is not like a black box anyways. It generally records freeze frame data only when setting a code.

Hi HEYMAN1104.

Thank you a lot for your fast answer.

No one used a scanner on it yet.

Can you articolate on your last sentence "It generally records freeze frame data only when setting a code".

Thanks again

It will record data like throttle, vehicle speed, amount of air going in, air temperature, oxygen sensor readings, and stuff like that related to running the engine.

Anyways, whatever information it has has to be gone by now. These things only have so much memory.
