Replaced ECU cannot program it because computer will not communicate with scanning tool

I just switched ECU from the junkyard and dealer is unable to program because computer still won't communicate with scanning tool. Please help

Hello,

You might want to see about returning the PCM to the junk yard and either exchanging it or getting a refund and getting another one. If that doesn't solve the problem then I would check the wiring to the Data Link Connector (DLC). You can get back to us with what happens when you try another PCM and let us know if it solved the problem or we can give you specific instructions on how to check the DLC. It is standardized because of OBD2 regulations so they are identical from vehicle to vehicle, so it shouldn't be that difficult. Please let us know what you are able to find out.
