There was a linkage in my fuel tank and all the fuel spilled out. Then after, I discovered that my remote is no longer opening or locking the doors and even the trunk. When the remote is pressed, you hear the normal sound as if the doors/trunk is open but will not open. When I tried locking the door centrally from the driver's and passenger side, it still does not open and lock. I now have to lock all doors manually (by moving the lock forward/backward) could this be a fuse or relay problem please?

It may be a weak battery in remote. Also, if you hear the door locks moving it may need lubing more than anything or a weak battery in car. Have the battery checked for condition including load test. Most places do for free. Then have it scanned for codes by a mechanic there may be a remote/transponder system problem.
