This is what a shop wants to charge me for repairs:
Replace inner and outer tire rods are broken.
Wheel alignment necessary.
$762.92 repair, including diagnostic fees
$151.72 tow

Total cost $914.64

Is this reasonable?

Thank you.

This shop is trying to tell me it's $687.92 without towing.

Towing charges are $151 to go 8 miles?

Please advise as they're trying to take advantage.

Thanks.

I don't know that they are or not. The towing is the only odd thing, but. Under what circumstances?

Did they have to flatbed it?

What condition was it when they picked it up?
Tie rod broken?

Call a competing towing company and ask them what it would cost, but you must tell them exactly the conditions as the other company had.

Different areas do charge differently, My area under a simple tow scenario would be about $45-55. But this is NF NY. Manhatten much different with all things being equal.
