My car had troubles starting so I had it towed to the nearest garage. They claim that it needs about $2000 worth of repairs done. The highest dollar amounts are replacing the power control module for $936 and all 6 ignition coils totalling $640. Does that sound reasonable? Is the car worth putting that much money into?

What kind of starting problems did you have and for how long before you had it towed? There is not a lot of labor in changing the parts you mentioned so that leaves a pretty hefty parts charge. Give me as much information on the cars previous behavior as well as any engine trouble codes, and we can go from there. Where did you have it towed to, a dealership or an independant shop? Please advise.
