My truck takes so long to start

I have a 1998 dodge 1/2 ton with 89,000 miles its got a smalblock 360, at.I was just wondering why it takes so long to start I did the plugs, wires and just wondering if you can point me in the right way as to geting it to start.
it really po's me that I have to try 2, 3maybe 4 times to get it to start. Thanks for your help!
