I recently had an issue with my brake lights consistantly staying on even when I turned my truck off. I replaced the Brake Sensor under the dash connected to the Brake Pedal. Now it only stays on when the truck is running. Now when I am driving, my brake lights are always on, which does not make me a popular driver on the road. Is there a step that I am missing, or can it be something totally different?

Thanks,

The new switch is supposed to auto-adjust when it is installed. If it is over-adjusted, push the brake pedal down, then pull the plunger all the way out. Push the plunger back in 4 clicks. Release the brake pedal and pull it back lightly. The pedal will adjust the switch plunger. If the brake lights still stay on, check the bracket the switch is mounted to for being loose, bent, or out of adjustment.
