2000 Dodge Ram will not start

My truck has been sitting for a while like a little over a year tried to start it today and it only runs if I pour gas in the throat then it stalls bad fuel pump maybe or worse?

Fuel pump very likely gas that old will form schlicak and sieze pump. If you don't hear it run check junction box underhood see if relay clicks.

Yes there are two side by side one is pump the other is ASD both interchangeable. Both should click with key and you should be able to hear pump buzz for @10 sec

Thanks must be the pump no noise when you hit the key. How big of a job is it to change do it myself?

Dropping tank is a little bit of a job. WD 40 strap bolts then lower a bit remove filler neck and tube. Then lower a bit more to gat acess to fuel lines and connector. Then remove lock ring pull out pump.
