1999 Dodge Ram gauge

My fuel gauge is on full then went to half a tank and now it's on 3/4 of a tank. It has'nt been driven for a while and was wondering if this was normal.

Hi:
It's not normal. My first guess is the float assembly (part of the fuel pump in the tank) is going bad. The only way to check it is to remove the tank and check for power out.
