2003 Dodge Intrepid Windshield Wipers Possessed?

2003 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 95685 miles

I am not a car mechanic but I was hoping to get some idea why my wipers seem to be malfunctioning and if there is anything I can do before I go spend a fortune to get them fixed?

This just started within the last few days. My wipers are in the off mode in my car YET they continue to operate as if I had them in the lowest setting. Is there a shorted fuse, a bad mootor, a short somewhere else that would cause them to continue to work even though I clearly have the switch on the inside to off?

Please help! Thank you very much!

Check in your owners manual for the front wiper on/off relay. It's in the power distribution center, under the hood, swap the relay with another one to test it!

In response to your PM: You can buy relays in any parts store, they just plug in, or pull out, real simple!
I do not have the diagram for your box tho.
