I have a 2002 intrepid 2.7L that overheats. A year ago we had a new cooling fan assembly installed and new radiator cap. six months ago a new water pump, timing chain kit, new radiator, new thermostat, and oil pressure sensor.
today we had the ignition switch replaced which cured the problem with the AC not coming on and the air bag light staying lit.
The car still overheats, I noticed that the drivers side fan is not running even though the engine was very hot.
What do I do now?

Update: I found the problem: When the ignition switch went bad I would wiggle the key to get the air bag light to go out and for the AC and fan to start running, in wiggling the key it must have caused a surge and the fuse for the fan relay blew. I did not check the fuse (I feel dumb to admit it) because the car had been in the shop the week before because of the overheating problem and I thought that the fuses must be OK. I think I will stick to my day job.

By the way, the ignition switch would cause the car to run rough, the air bag light would stay on, the AC and fan would not work, the windows would not go up or down, and sometime while driving the car would lose all power and everything would work again after I wiggled the key. If anyone has these problems a $55.00 part may fix it.

The car may have other problems not yet causing such a big problem to have shown up(head gasket(s). I would take it to the most reliable, easy to communicate with shop and let them know all the symptoms and parts replaced. One may have failed. If the shop
that repaired the thermostat was good, bring it to them as they would appreciate a cooling system that is failing again because any part they installed may have failed. It helps them choose their parts better. And they'll know what was already done. That will help you get going again for a longer time. ok Joe that engine had some cooling issues.
