We just purchased this car with 60000 mile on it. 3.2 liter 4speed autostick transmission. My wife drove it through the car wash (had under carriage washed) and apon exiting the car wash and putting the vehicle in drive it would not move. She shifted between park and drive a couple times, is sure it was in a drive gear (no luck). Checked Ebrake (no luck) put the car in Reverse fealt what seemed like something engage or disengage and the car moved and appears fine. Her explanation to me was that it fealt like the right rear wheel was locked up. She stated she noticed what appeard to be a grease/oil smell coming from that wheel. I was not there and do not have any first had knowledge. Anyone have any thoughts? ABS locke up? Transmission glitch? Or general quirk?

Sounds like you may have transmission or a transmission controller problem.

Can you help me out here a little more? Before the undercarriage wash and even now after that one incident the transmission goes into gear properly and shifts smoothly no niticeable issues. What do you think happend with the under carriage wash? Something get wet? Something stick? Are you saying that it appears the transmission did not know it was being shifted into a gear?

I dont think the under car wash would hurt it. It is almost water proof. Scan the PCM to check for trouble codes.
