1997 dodge intrepid Wont start

121928 miles ok. now my car wont start it will turn but it wont start i have changed the battery tried to give fuel but it wont start still. also i left the car sitting there for a few months then last month i started it again but now it'll turn but wont start i tried give it fuel injector and fuel cleaner but it still wont work. did sound increasing better but my friend said it can be the fuel pump is there anything i can do before i replace it so i dont spend 200 dollars for nothing?

1.) open the trunk and have someone turn the key to the on position. If you hear a whirl noise coming out of the trunk, then your fuel pump is good.

2.) Have you checked the fuel pressure at the fuel rail? If not check to see if there is pressure at the fuel rail.

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PROTECTION ON, AND PLENTY OF RAGS

Remove the cover to the fuel pressure check shrader valve. Take a flat blade screw driver and gently press on the pin in the shrader valve to see if fuel shoots out. Normal pressure at the fuel rail is 40 to 50 PSI. If there is no pressure at the fuel rail, Suspect the fuel filter. My 1997 Intrepid I had to replace the fuel filter because I was getting no to very little pressure at the fuel rail, and mine now starts right on up with no problems.
